Asset Servicing Team Lead

Our partner is looking for an Asset Servicing Team Lead to join their Global Operations department in Budapest. You will lead a team of Asset Servicing analysts responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of all asset servicing processes across multiple asset classes and products. The team’s remit includes Corporate Actions Processing, Corporate Action Elections, Income Processing, Proxy Voting & Class Actions, and Tax Reclamation & Withholding. You will ensure operational excellence, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture. You will act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including investment teams, custodians, tax advisors, and technology partners.

As the operational leader of the Asset Servicing team, you will:

Manage and mentor a high-performing team of Asset Servicing professionals, ensuring seamless coverage of daily operations and individual development

Supervise the complete lifecycle of asset servicing events, covering mandatory and voluntary corporate actions, income processing, and proxy voting

Oversee the management of voluntary election responses and ensure timely escalation of complex issues to the front office

Partner with Operations Leadership to refine the operating model and champion strategic process improvements

Work cross-functionally with Legal, Risk, and Portfolio Management to establish and maintain robust operational protocols

Lead key projects focused on system enhancements, testing, and the implementation of efficient new workflows

Uphold strict regulatory compliance and internal standards, serving as the primary representative during audits and reviews

Act as the main point of escalation for operational issues, building strong networks with internal teams and external partners Elvárások / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience

Deep expertise in full-cycle Asset Servicing (corporate actions, elections, income processing)

Proficiency with corporate action platforms, proxy systems, and SWIFT standards

Proven track record leading teams in financial services or asset management

Solid grasp of operational risk, control frameworks, and regulatory compliance

Experience in driving process improvements and operational efficiency

Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
