QUALITY MANAGER / MATERIAL SOLUTION

The company has been operating in Hungary since 1997. Nyíregyháza factory- with over 950 employees- manufactures key components (folding bellows, gangway systems, and various rubber products) for the transportation industry, especially for rail vehicles and buses. Our company is looking for a colleague in the following position:

QUALITY MANAGER / MATERIAL SOLUTION

Responsibilities

Lead the Quality Management department, including operational and production-related quality assurance activities

Ensure the effective operation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System

Prepare and conduct internal and external audits (customer, supplier, system, process, and product audits)

Assess customer requirements and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

Ensure production reliability and consistency through process and final output reviews; identify weaknesses in processes and systems

Define appropriate corrective actions for product, process, and system deviations, and coordinate cross-functional preventive actions with consideration of cost-effectiveness

Monitor quality-relevant processes

Provide proactive solutions through the collection and analysis of quality data

Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures

Share responsibility for complaint handling in close cooperation with customers (including on-site evaluation of critical cases at customer locations)

Take responsibility for quality improvement and quality control

Prepare quality reports, statistical evaluations, and relevant documentation; monitor monthly KPIs defined in the budget

Qualifications / Experience / Requirements

University degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education

Experience in managing quality management systems (ISO 9001 required; IATF 16949 and VDA are advantages) and conducting audits

Experience in operational quality processes (complaint handling, initial sample inspection – customer/supplier, quality planning)

Strong knowledge of quality management tools and methodologies (e. g. 8D, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, Measurement System Analysis)

Confident user of MS Office and IT systems

Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken (German is an advantage)

Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage conflicts and solve problems effectively

Structured, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset

Analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and accuracy

Experience in project management and supervision, with strong organizational and leadership skills
