French Speaking GL Accountant

Are you an excellent accountant who loves working with numbers and is fluent in French? We are currently looking for a detail-oriented General Ledger (GL) Accountant for our partner, to join a growing team within a leading industrial organization. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your expertise to a Solution Center Europe (SCE) and help build and optimize efficient financial processes from the ground up.

• Support transition activities: Play an active role in migrating accounting processes from European entities to the newly shaped Budapest Solution Center.

• Manage daily GL operations: Handle manual and semi-automatic postings, bank statements, FX transactions, and deferred items.

• Coordinate period-end closings: Execute General Ledger (GL) and Asset Accounting (AA) closing activities, including comprehensive accrual, provision, and P&L management.

• Handle Asset Accounting: Maintain asset master data and classes, and manage acquisitions, depreciations, and disposals.

• Ensure compliance & controls: Own internal operational controls and prepare necessary documentation for internal/external auditors and tax authorities.

• Process improvement & documentation: Create and update process manuals, resolve day-to-day issues, and identify optimization opportunities.

• Stakeholder management: Maintain strong professional relationships with internal business partners while adhering to agreed service levels (SLAs).

Elvárások / Requirements

• University degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in accounting, specifically within GL processes.
• Strong proficiency in SAP (SAP FI) and standard office software.
• Strong command of both English and French
• A self-starting, independent mindset with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented setting.
• Experience in transition projects is a significant benefit
