Spanish speaking GL Accountant (14. district, 3HO/week)

Our German multinational partner company is looking for a Spanish speaking GL Accountant colleague for their growing SSC.

The ideal candidate should have minimum 1 year of accounting experience, and fluent English and Spanish knowledge.

Your tasks will be as a GL Accountant

Play an active role in the transition of Accounting processes from European entities to Hungary

Be involved in day-to-day operations in the following process areas

Manage Manual & Semi-automatic postings

Calculate inventory adjustments, reconcile reports, calculate provisions,

Balance Sheet: Banking

Bank statement posting to GL accounts

FX transaction and perform posting

Decide on Accounting treatment for deferred items, perform postings

Accrual and provision management

Manage Profit & Loss

General Ledger Closing

Own and manage internal operational controls, Prepare documentation for auditor/tax authorities

As part of the General Ledger Accountant role, manage Asset Accounting related activities:

Asset master data maintenance, setting up of asset classes

Managing acquisitions, disposals, revaluation, depreciation

AA closing activities

Identify, evaluate and resolve issues (incl. process improvements)

Engage in collaboration with the business and stakeholders to develop a professional relationship

Requirements:

University degree preferably in Economics

1+ years of experience in accounting (primarily GL in a SSC environment)

Fluent English and Spanish language skills (written and spoken)

Transition experience is beneficial

Good understanding of the GL processes

Continuous Improvement and Quality mindset

Very good knowledge of SAP FI

Ability to pay close attention to detail and prioritize the right things at the right time

Excellent communication skills

Ability/willingness to travel (2 to 6 weeks periods for knowledge transfer- when circumstances allow to do so)
