Job Title: Lead Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to spearhead our Big Data environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and implementing scalable data products, as well as optimizing PySpark code for high-performance distributed data processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop software in the Big Data environment
• Design and implement scalable data products
• Optimize PySpark code for high-performance distributed data processing

Required Skills:

• Big Data environments
• Strong SQL skills (MS SQL Server a plus)
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem (PySpark, Airflow, HDFS, Elasticsearch)
• ETL (SSIS), tabular models (SSAS), and data warehousing / BI architectures knowledge
• Proficiency in Python; C# and BigQuery are advantageous
• CI/CD, automation, and quality assurance practices understanding
• Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps principles familiarity
• Cloud platforms experience, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Distributed data processing and scalable data architectures expertise
• Leadership skills and excellent communication abilities
