
Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

We are looking for a highly experienced, self-motivated, detail-oriented Quality Engineer who has a strong knowledge of UNIX-based systems and computer networks, and has demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and complex software environment.
As a Quality Engineer, you will be a key member of our team ensuring the reliability, performance, and stability of our systems. You will work collaboratively with software engineering and QA to test the performance of the system, network configurations, and the integration of IP cameras and other devices. You will leverage your expertise in tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Ansible to build and maintain a robust quality assurance process within our CI/CD pipeline.
Tasks:
Understand the complex technical environment of our software products, with a focus on system performance and network architecture.
Perform performance-related testing to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
Configure, test, and validate network configurations, IP cameras, and other IP-based hardware devices.
Work with software developers to understand functionality and define meaningful testing procedures.
Design, implement, and improve automated test suites and tools within our CI/CD environment (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
Utilize tools such as Jira for bug tracking and Confluence for documentation.
Document and communicate test plans, procedures, and results effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineer, DevOps, or similar role.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with UNIX-based systems.
Deep understanding of computer networks (TCP/IP, switching, routing, IP device configuration).
Proven experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and Azure DevOps.
Experience with quality management and documentation tools (Jira, Confluence).
Ability to think quickly and logically to ensure solutions are identified and implemented.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
Intermediate level of English.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with media streaming protocols and technologies.
Scripting experience (e. g. , Perl, Bash).
Experience working with server virtualization (Proxmox, XEN, Azure).
Familiarity with test automation frameworks like Playwright or Ranorex.
