Internal Controls Specialist
The role requires an individual who can work autonomously and proactively while also working well as a team player. The successful candidate will build effective working relationships with various teams and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
This position involves managing SOX documentation, including preparing, completing, reviewing, and performing quality checks on control documentation for the A2R business area. You will investigate findings and follow up on them to ensure that all processes are properly documented and compliant with regulations.
As an Internal Control Specialist, you will create and maintain control reports, develop and update implementation reports and risk assessments based on requirements and ad hoc needs. You will also provide training and awareness on Internal Control requirements for captive teams and retained stakeholders.
Additionally, this role involves conducting risk assessments and mitigation strategies to identify key risks and ensure that processes are properly documented in local procedures with standardized controls across countries. You will support SOX implementation and audits by serving as an interface between process owners and auditors, providing required documentation for internal and external audit testing.
You will analyze findings, create sustainable action plans, and coordinate implementation and monitoring of corrective actions. Furthermore, you will participate in improvement initiatives, supporting control standardization/optimization projects and automation initiatives, including document review and validation.
This is a challenging role that requires a high degree of attention to detail, quality, and proven ability to operate effectively under pressure and strict deadlines. The ideal candidate will have experience in IC financial experience and be familiar with SOX control environment and regulations. They will possess strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to work in a complex matrix environment.
