We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Budapest. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing real-time data processing solutions using Scala.

Job Description

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data engineering capabilities. You will work closely with our development teams to design and implement scalable data architectures that meet the needs of our business.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years commercial data engineering experience with real-time processing emphasis
• Proficient Scala programming skills
• In-depth understanding of distributed computing approaches, patterns, and technologies, especially real-time processing (e. g. , Spark Streaming, Akka Streams)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and their data-oriented components
• Strong proficiency in Scala, SQL, and query tuning
• Expertise in data warehousing principles and modeling concepts
• Competence in using relational databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL)
• Experience orchestrating data flows using tools like Apache Flink, Apache Kafka or similar technologies
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
• Minimum English level B2
