We are looking for Furnace Batch Engineer to join our Production Team; which is located in Kaposvár, Hungary.
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 3 year of experience in a similar role
Advanced proficiency in English
Proficient in MS Office applications; SAP experience is a plus
Ability to approach problems using Six Sigma methodology
Eagerness to research and implement new technologies in the manufacturing sector
Willingness to collect and analyze data and interpret graphs
Highly motivated and confident in establishing quality and order
Strong interpersonal skills, responsible, and a team player
Excellent communication, problem-solving, planning, and follow-up skills
Job Description:
Manage raw material planning, procurement, usage, and inventory processes within the Furnace Batch department
Supervise and guide department personnel
Oversee the acceptance of raw materials, preparation according to recipes, transfer to furnaces, and operation of glass furnaces in line with defined criteria
Ensure all machinery, equipment, and systems within the area of responsibility are well-maintained and operating efficiently
Conduct regular inspections, repairs, and maintenance of furnace refractory structures
Implement measures to minimize energy losses in furnaces
Take responsibility for the batch, furnace, fusion floor, and annealing furnace areas, and carry out improvement and development activities related to these systems
Under delegated authority, ensure efficient operation and coordination of machinery, materials, and workforce within the area of responsibility
Collaborate effectively with other departments and units involved in related processes
