
Engineering Specialist Braking Software Controls
Work remotely for an American automotive company that’s expanding across Europe and building a satellite engineering team from the ground up. Design and develop control systems for electronic braking and other electro-mechanical smart systems.
Write custom control logic and algorithms to optimize system performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in electronics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, and functional safety to define system behavior and requirements.
Use real-time simulation tools (MIL, SIL, HIL) to test and refine control strategies.
Ensure compliance with functional safety standards like ISO 26262.
Support risk assessment processes and develop safety protocols.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues in electro-mechanical and electro-pneumatic systems.
Prepare high-quality technical documentation, including system schematics and user manuals. Elvárások / Requirements
At least 7 years of experience in control system development for mechatronics, electro-pneumatic, or electrical systems.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in braking control software (ABS, EBS, ESC, BFD) for air brake or pneumatic systems.
Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, including longitudinal, lateral, and yaw behavior.
Experience in developing vehicle state estimation algorithms (mass, road grade, etc. ).
Proficiency with model-based development tools like MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow.
Coding skills in C, C++, and Python.
Experience with simulation environments such as SimScape, TruckSim, or TruckMaker.
Practical background in ISO 26262-compliant safety-critical software development.
Familiarity with the AutoSAR platform and developing application-level software on it.
Solid understanding of product development and electro-pneumatic components.
