Database Administrator and Assistant Office Manager
Do you have a passion for education and enjoy working with both data and people? Are you customer-service oriented, detail-focused, and eager to learn how school information systems work?
If so, Budapest British International School invites you to join our dynamic team as a Database Administrator and Assistant Office Manager.
In this diverse role, you will support the smooth running of our school’s data systems, assist the Office Manager in daily operations, and oversee the work of the Front Desk team - ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and a welcoming atmosphere for our community.
Feladatok
Data and Systems Management: Take ownership of managing and maintaining the school’s core educational information systems (e. g. Google Workspace, iSAMS, Toddle), ensuring that student and academic data are accurate, consistent, and up to date. Work closely with teachers, leaders, and the IT department to make sure these systems effectively support teaching, reporting, and key school operations such as admissions, assessments, and timetabling.
Office Administration and Manager Support: Work closely with the Office Manager to coordinate daily office operations, manage documents, and facilitate communication between departments. Provide cover and support when the Office Manager is unavailable, helping to keep the office organised and efficient.
Front Desk Coordination and Coverage: Lead and support the Front Desk team to ensure high-quality service and smooth communication across the school community. Work collaboratively with the two Front Desk Administrators to organise daily schedules and share responsibilities — including regular shifts at the reception desk. You will also take an active part in front desk duties during busy periods, lunch breaks, or absences, ensuring that the area is always covered and operates efficiently. Through your presence and example, you help maintain the professional, welcoming, and service-minded atmosphere that reflects the BBIS ethos.
Staff Database Support and Training: Act as the first point of contact for teachers and other colleagues who need help with school systems. Provide friendly and practical support, create user guides, and assist in training new staff. Help others use data effectively and confidently in their daily work.
School Events, Trips and Operations: Support school events and operational activities by providing data, logistical, and administrative assistance. Contribute to the positive and collaborative spirit of the school community in all daily interactions.
