Our partner is a well-known brand in the aviation industry. The team in Budapest – which was founded 3 years ago - is rapidly growing, hence we are seeking our next colleague to join as Data Engineer. You will join an international team, which is partially in Budapest.

Your job will include the following:

Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to handle large volumes of data

Ensure data quality, reliability and scalability

Optimise query performance

Develop and maintain data models and schema definitions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise data requirements

Develop and maintain ETL processes

Manage and monitor data processing and storage systems

Troubleshoot and debug data-related issues

You are the ideal candidate if you have:

Fluency in English language, both spoken & written;

At least 3 years’ experience with data engineering of batch-oriented data pipelines

At least 2 years’ experience with Scala (experience with Spark is a plus)

Proficiency in SQL and database technologies

Cloud engineering experience, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP) OR Azure

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other relevant fields

Ability to work in a Distributed Agile/Scrum team with some team members in AMS and some team members in BUD

Engineering mindset and analytical thinking
