Data Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale data pipelines that extract, process, and deliver high-quality data to scientists and data analysts.

About the Job

• Create data flows to extract and prepare experimental data for consumption by scientists and data analysts across the organization
• Develop and maintain a set of data flows for major functions, ensuring experiment data is up-to-date and ready for use
• Support data extraction and flow from development, deployment, and maintenance

Main Responsibilities:

• Create data pipelines using industry-leading tools and technologies
• Design and implement data architecture and infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues with source data, working closely with the Digital Transformation team
• Onboard, train, and support scientists and data analysts with self-serve data preparation (SSDP) systems, such as Dataiku

About You

Key Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of data engineering and design experience with large-scale business applications in a fast-paced iterative development environment
• Good knowledge of Lean & Agile practices
• Experience in working in an AWS ecosystem
• Experience with self-serve data preparation systems such as Dataiku
• Experience in data engineering & data integration (ETL, API, …)
• Experience in bash scripting, Python, and SQL
