Communications advisor, mobility & convenience & bp pulse
The communications advisor, mobility & convenience (M&C) and bp pulse is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of communications in support of bp’s retail and EV charging businesses globally.
The role holder will report to the head of communications, M&C and bp pulse. They will work closely with both businesses, the broader ‘customers & products’ communications team and regional communications & external affairs teams to enable successful delivery of communications projects and plans in service of business strategy and priorities.
In this role You will:- Communications strategy and planning: support the development and delivery of integrated communications plans in service of M&C Europe and bp pulse business priorities and projects.
- Internal communications: lead the development of creative internal communications to inform and engage employees in our business strategy and priorities. Manage and develop impactful content for all regular M&C Europe and bp pulse internal communications channels.
- Message development: ensure consistent messaging about our global mobility & convenience and bp pulse businesses in all bp communications
- Measurement & insights: Continuously improve the effectiveness and impact of M&C Europe and bp pulse communications
- Digital & operations: be the team focal point for implementing new digital and technology solutions to improve ways of working and increase efficiency, including collaboration with the Accenture communications and marketing hub.
- Crisis communications: maintain crisis preparedness and deputize for the head of communications and communications manager in business response teams (BRTs) as required.
- Team effectiveness: as part of a small business partnering team, foster an agile working approach to increase value delivery and promote use of digital tools to increase effectiveness.
What You will need to be successful:- Fluency in English
- Proficiency in other European languages – preferably German
- Experience in a communications or marketing role either within the energy or retail sectors or within a marketing / communications agency
- Writing & presenting: excellent written and verbal communications skills - able to construct informative, interesting and inspiring content that emotionally connects with the audience.
- Communications planning: strong organization and project management skills – a self-starter who is able to work independently to manage multiple priorities, deliver quality work to tight deadlines and successfully navigate ambiguity.
- Partner management: able to establish and manage effective relationships remotely – with leaders at all levels of the organization and within the Accenture marketing and communications hub – and using influencing skills and personal impact to deliver results.
- Digital: expert in digital communication tools using workflows, resources and platforms to effectively plan, collaborate, analyze and deliver results.
- Commercial acumen: aware and considerate of how their role and activities impact both day to day and strategic business initiatives – ensure that work is always founded in creating business value and has clear objectives and measurable, desired outcomes.
