We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Chief Accountant to manage financial operations, tax compliance, and payroll processes for our client’s Hungarian entity. Our partner is specialized in delivering end-to-end solutions for large-scale industrial projects, including feasibility studies, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Closing & Statutory reporting

Coordinate external audit

Calculate and report VAT, PIT, CIT (advance and yearly)

Handle other taxes: LBT, Innovation Tax, CBAM, EPR, Green Tax

Act as first point of contact during tax audits

Manage employment contracts (new, modifications, terminations)

Input salary data into payroll system and post in SAP

Address employment-related issues

Liaise with legal counsel on employment and tax matters

Provide tax-related support to project sites

Requirements

IFRS registration

Proven chief accounting experience (preferably in the construction industry)

Proficiency in SAP (advantage)

Experience in IFRS financial closing and taxation

Strong communication and organizational abilities
